About Attorney Francis

A Dedication to Justice
That Began Before Law School.

Georges Francis is a dedicated advocate, seasoned leader, and respected voice in immigration law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Florida International University and went on to join the inaugural evening division class of the Florida International University College of Law, where he was admitted in 2002.

While in law school, Georges distinguished himself through his work with the Carlos A. Costa Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, representing clients in complex immigration matters. Even before law school, his commitment to justice was clear. In 2000, Georges volunteered at the Krome Detention Center, where he witnessed firsthand the stark disparities faced by Haitian detainees in removal proceedings — an experience that transformed outrage into purpose and solidified his resolve to become an attorney serving his community.

Upon graduating from law school in 2006, Georges joined Catholic Legal Services (CLS) as a staff attorney and quickly became a cornerstone of the organization. His leadership, integrity, and deep understanding of immigration law led to his appointment as Managing Attorney, a role he held with distinction until 2017. During his tenure, Georges not only served thousands of individuals navigating an unforgiving immigration system, but also helped shape the next generation of immigration advocates by hiring, training, and mentoring attorneys like Peterson St. Philippe and Cassandra Suprin.

Fluent in Haitian Creole and French, Georges brings cultural fluency and lived understanding to his practice — qualities that have earned him the trust of his clients and the respect of his peers.
